Kommunal leveraged its longstanding partnership with the REIV to develop “REIV – The Real Difference”, a brand campaign aimed at strengthening its market position. With a deep understanding of the REIV’s legacy since 1936, Kommunal shaped a distinctive brand voice that resonated with its audience. Beyond brand positioning, the partnership extended to sponsorship strategy, social media planning, and asset creation— all contributing to increased engagement, satisfaction, and retention among its members and stakeholders. This collaboration has further reinforced the REIV’s standing as Victoria’s peak industry body.
Through the Communication Ready program, Kommunal collaborated with Walkers, a 100+ year-old family company, to revitalise its brand. The collaboration included redefining Walkers’ brand identity, purpose, positioning, and architecture, all encapsulated in a comprehensive brand playbook. A November promotional campaign, launched in collaboration with a prominent partner brand, served to highlight its refreshed identity. These efforts reinforced Walkers’ legacy while positioning the brand as a trusted and reliable provider of home solutions.

Through the Communication Ready program, Kommunal collaborated with Spacecube to refresh its brand mark and positioning, showcased through a PR campaign. The brand’s success has since skyrocketed installing at major events such as the Australian Open, Melbourne Cup, and Grand Prix. Spacecube has now expanded to the UK and the US where it recently installed major event infrastructure at the F1 Grand Prix in Austin, Texas.
Kommunal spearheaded the brand strategy for Rule Prostate Cancer’s retail fundraising efforts. From creating the brand name, mark and identity to developing its website and social media presence, Kommunal successfully introduced Rule to the market amplifying its purpose: “We see a day where no Australian man will die from Prostate Cancer.”
Through the Communication Ready program, Kommunal refreshed Morris’s brand identity and architecture, implementing it across social and digital assets, Geelong Football Club stadium signage, and a geographically targeted campaign. This rollout, coupled with strategic guidance to differentiate Morris from competitors, has firmly established Morris’ leadership in asset finance lending.
Through the Communication Ready program, Kommunal worked with Fight MND to strengthen its brand strategy, and the iconic Big Freeze at the G campaign. Backed by evidence-based research and stakeholder insights, Kommunal delivered campaign creatives and social media strategy and assets. This initiative raised over $60 million in donations, cementing Big Freeze at the G as a flagship event on the AFL calendar.

These efforts reintroduced Lort Smith to the community as Melbourne’s leading animal hospital, reinforcing its legacy and mission in providing exceptional animal care.

This transformation was brought to life in the brand film ‘Belief in Heroes Start Here’.
